Caroline Streeter, Managing Director, has had her own personal experience with cancer, having been diagnosed in September 2009 at 39 years of age.
The Warwick Foundation is the first and only Non-Profit Charitable Organisation in Australia focusing on supporting young adults (18-40 years) on their cancer journey.
The Warwick Foundation provides a great support network to all young cancer patients with their "In My Shoes" program and also, along with one of their Sponsor Partners, Kudos Villas, they provide the "Leave your shoes at our Door" Initiative. Kudos Villa's "Leave your shoes at our door" Initiative recognises the need for young adult cancer sufferers to have a little time out for themselves on their journey with the disease.
Caroline experienced the "Leave your shoes at our Door" Initiative and had the following to say:
"Leave your shoes at our Door" is an absolutely wonderful initiative. Having just completed 6 months of chemotherapy and getting physically and emotionally ready for my next bout of treatment in the form of radiotherapy, I got away for a couple of days to the Villas and just chilled out. To have a few days where I could escape routine hospital and doctor visits was wonderful. Although I was only away for a couple of days, it was so relaxing I felt I was away for a week and it provided me with the energy boost I needed to get ready for the next round of treatment. Thanks to the wonderful people at The Warwick Foundation and also Kudos Villas."
